THE QUICK CURE FOR PROFESSIONALS

Osmo Oil Stain is a high-performance, oil-based wood stain formulated to highlight the natural beauty of timber while delivering deep, vibrant colour. Whether you're finishing floors, furniture, table tops or interior joinery, this versatile stain offers excellent workability, customisation, and professional-grade results.

Designed to be used exclusively as part of a two-part system, Osmo Oil Stain must always be finished with Osmo Polyx®-Oil. While the stain enhances the grain and provides stunning colour, it’s the Polyx®-Oil topcoat that delivers the essential protection against wear, moisture, and heat – making the system ideal for high-use, high-traffic areas.

    Key Features:
    • 100+ ready-to-use colours – from natural tones to bold designer shades

    • Custom colours available – mix to match with no minimum order quantity

    • Fast-drying formula – ready for overcoating in as little as 4–6 hours

    • Easy application – ideal for professionals and DIYers alike

    • Microporous and breathable – won’t crack, flake or peel

    • Oil-based and sustainable – made from natural plant oils

    • Made in Germany – trusted worldwide for quality and performance

    Recommended Use:

Always finish with Osmo Polyx®-Oil for a complete, durable system.
Osmo Oil Stain is not intended for use on its own. It provides deep, even colour as the base layer, but must be sealed with Osmo Polyx®-Oil to ensure long-lasting protection against wear, water, and heat.

     Ideal for:

    • Floors
    • Furniture
    • Table tops
    • Interior doors and joinery

    Coverage:

Approx. 24–48m² per litre, depending on wood species, surface texture, and application method.

    Application of Osmo Oil Stain:

The application method will influence the final look:

    • For a subtle, even tone: apply using a lint-free cloth, oil stain applicator fleece, or buffing pad

    • For a richer, more intense or darker finish: apply with a brush or microfibre roller

    • Allow up to 8 hours drying time before overcoating

    • Coverage may vary depending on tool and surface absorbency

    Application of Osmo Polyx®-Oil:

For optimum durability and surface protection, always apply the Polyx®-Oil topcoat using a brush or roller. This ensures the product is evenly distributed and penetrates effectively into the wood.  Allow the stain to dry thoroughly. Up to 8 Hours

Important: Cloths, pads, or any applicators used with Osmo Oil Stain and Polyx®-Oil may spontaneously combust if not handled and disposed of correctly. Always:

    • Soak used cloths in water immediately after use

    • Lay them flat to dry outside or store in a sealed, water-filled metal container before disposal

    • Never leave used applicators scrunched or piled together

Please note that colour sample is for reference only and may differ from the actual finish due to variations in wood type, application methods and lighting conditions.  All samples have been applied to European Oak.
